Samsung Galaxy Z Flip: Next Folding Mobile Designed For «influencers»

It is expected to go on sale on February 14 with a starting price of 1,500 euros

The Samsung Galaxy S20 will be presented next September 11. A terminal that, as WinFuture recently leaked, will be accompanied in time by the second folding smartphone of the South Korean company a few months after the launch of the Fold. The German portal has shared the presumed specifications of the mobile, as well as several images of it.

Its name will be Galaxy Z Flip and, unlike the Fold, it will not bend on its vertical axis but on the horizontal as a shell. Exactly like the recent Motorola Razr, although, according to the images, sporting a more striking design. According to WinFuture, the device, clearly high-end, is designed for «influencers» , since it would have an ideal software to share images on Instagram.

The rear is expected to incorporate a small screen, in this case, 1.06 inches, with a resolution of 300 x 116 pixels. Concerning the interior panel, the one of all the life, it would be AMOLED and would have dimensions of 6.7 inches ; in addition to a Full HD + resolution of 2,636 x 1,080 pixels. Right in the center, you can see the hinge that allows the device to fold horizontally.

At heart, and unlike, according to the leaks of the next S20, we would find a Snapdragon 855+ processor, which does not have 5G connectivity and is not among the last great exponents of Qualcomm, the 765 and 865. Regarding the memory, the terminal would have 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage that cannot be expanded.

If the processor is not the eighth wonder, the cameras do not promise the best results either. On the back, the “smartphone” will have two 12-megapixel lenses. On the inside screen, there will be only one and it will be, if the filtration is fulfilled, of 10 MP. Very far from what has been commented on the future S20. Especially from the Ultra 5G model, which is expected to have a 108 MP sensor. The battery is also quite limited. According to WinFuture, it will be 3,300 mAh. A figure that is below what the user can find in the vast majority of current mid-low-end terminals, such as the Honor 20, the Redmi Note 8 or the TCL Plex.

On the other hand, the device is expected to have facial recognition technology. It will also be accompanied, according to the filtration, of the Android 10 operating system with One UI 2.0.

Taking all this into account, and according to the German portal will have an exit price of around 1,500 euros, we are not facing a particularly competitive «smartphone». Everything indicates that on February 11, the day Samsung will celebrate its Keynote and, with total security, will show the new S20 family, we will leave doubts. It is expected to go on sale on February 14 .
